Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE) Exam 2021 

The name has been changed to Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha for students studying in Class-ix is meant to identify the nurture talent.  

The examination is conducted every year at State Level.

Date of Examination : Directorate of Education will conduct Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha
Pariksha on 28th March, 2021 (Sunday)

Eligibility: 

(i) The students presently studying in Class IX in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided
recognized Pvt. Schools including the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,
School of MCD, NDMC, DCB, etc. in GNCT of Delhi.

ii) Must have secured 60% marks in Class Vill in the session 2019-2020, 5% relaxation
in marks for the students belonging to SC/ST and PH category.

Reservation :- 15% of the students belonging to the SC Category, 7.5% for students
belonging to the ST category and 27% for students belonging to OBC category (Non-creamy
layer) as per Government of NCT Delhi Revenue Department, 10% for Economically
Weaker Sections (EWSs) those who have not covered under the reservation scheme for
SC/ST/OBCS, 4% for children with benchmark disabilities, of which, one percent each
shall be reserved for persons with bench mark Disabilities under clauses (a), (b) and (c)
and one per cent for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (d) and (e) namely

(a) Blindness and low vision: (BLV)
(b) deaf and hard of hearing : (DH)
(c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attaci
victims and muscular dystrophy: (LD)
(d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness ; (A1D)
(e) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deal
blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities (MD)

There will be no negative marking in Stage-l examination
Selection : 0) Qualifying Marks : Qualifying Marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH
category is 32% in each paper and for others (General/OBC & EWS) categories it is 40%
in each paper.
How to Apply: 0 The School Hos will register the students on Directorate of
Education website www.edudel.nic.in with their own school login ID and Password

COVID GUIDELINES

a) Parents will submit an undertaking with regard to permitting his/her ward to appear
in the examination.

b) All the candidates will wear the mask and maintain social distancing and follow other
COVID guidelines prescribed as per Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India at the
examination centre.

c) Safety norms with regard to checking of temperature and sanitization is to be strictly
followed by the all concerned.

d) Any other guidelines issued by the Competent Authority from time to tired

Number of scholarships


There are about 150 scholarships awarded for JSTSE per year.
In the notification that is released by the Science branch office of Govt. of Delhi, the JSTSE scholarship amount is not mentioned. The notification only states the number of scholarships and not the scholarship amount. As per one of the toppers, the prize consisted of a certificate stating the rank and a cheque of Rs. 2000
